VPK Program (State of Florida FREE 4 Year Old Program) 

The VPK Program at Leap Ahead is available to every child that is 4 years old by September 1st of each school year and living in Florida. 

This state mandated  program is available for every 4 year old child in Florida (540 hours of instruction during the school year or 300 hours during summer).  

Research has shown this class better prepares your child for Kindergarten and promotes success later on in life. 

Certified School Teachers educate your child in our Accredited VPK Classes!

This program follows the same curriculum as our preschool with an emphasis on the basic skills your child should know by the time they enter into Kindergarten. 

ABC’s, phonics, numbers, days of the week, months of the year, computers, early reading skills and writing skills, thematic units are all taught. 

Our center based classrooms are where your child will participate and learn through Circle and Story Time, Computers, Centers, Science, Art, Music, Outside Play, Math and numerous Thematic Units. 

Daily sheets are sent home every day to keep you informed on how your child’s day was.
